WebGriffon and beetle are actually surprisingly close on this adventure. The fastest legit time EU with a griffon afaik is a 41.520, whereas the fastest legit time with a beetle afaik is a 40.160. Beetle still maintains a slight advantage, but it should considering the adventure is called "Roller Beetle Training". WebThe Griffon and Skyscale and typical GW2 grinds like those you got to take them a little bit at a time. You can't look at the whole picture, Just look at one achievement. I have work thru all the mounts (except the turtle, still working thru EoD) and even though I jump on the skyscale the most often the griffon is my all time favorite.

The mount is optional, not mandatory. That said, if you consider enjoyment, fun and having a good time as the primary functions of playing a game, then bloody hell yes, the Griffon is a must-have.

Griffon wins my vote for best all-round mount. It’s not as fast as Raptor, but it makes up for that speed by letting you fly over obstacles and enemy mobs.
