Webb8 okt. 2024 · I purchased a gauge to measure the booster rod and it's about 1/2" too long. Now, I have 2 options, 1) grind the long rod to the size that is needed or, 2) install a spacer as suggested by anotheridiot ( no offense, just referencing his name). I installed (2 )1/2" nuts as a temporary spacer and the brakes work fine. Webb12 juni 2024 · If the brake pedal is spongy, this could indicate air remaining in the lines or a mechanical problem, such as a sticking brake caliper slider. Bleed the brake system again and verify the calipers are moving freely. On the other hand, if the brake pedal slowly drops, this could indicate a leak.

I had the rod removed in a couple of minutes and shipped the tool right back to him. You can see the groove for it in the linkage arm, on the ebay ad. Also, you will likely have to adjust the pregap nut on the booster rod into the master. Preload on the master, brakes drag and lock up.
